Analyzing pixels

This research is not exactly mass media. But it is interesting how scientists are now studying changes in individual pixels to detect subtle changes captured on video. [Watch the video, too]

They wrote their programs with MATLAB, a computing software that is relatively easy to learn and takes no prior experience with programming to learn. I've used this in hundreds of applications already as an engineer. It's amazing what these guys figured out using the MATLAB environment.
